ART WORKS
Evidence, 1990

This sculpture is a pair of vitrines made from plywood and glass, each containing the upturned rubber stamp impression of Abigail's left and right hands respectively. The stamps are not prints but outlines of her hands.

The work was first made and exhibited for Modern Medicine, an exhibition curated by Damien Hirst, Carl Feedman and Billy Sellman in Building One, London, 1990. Other artists in the show were Angus Fairhurst, Mat Collishaw, Grainne Cullen, Dominic Denis, Damien Hirst, Craig Wood and Miriam Lloyd.
